Swedbank Robur Japanfond will be merged into Swedbank Robur Access Edge Japan on 16 April

On April 16, Swedbank Robur Japan will be merged with Access Edge Japan and will no longer exist thereafter.

The merger is carried out to simplify and clarify the fund offering.

What does this mean for those saving in the funds?

If you have savings in Access Edge Japan, this will not affect your savings, as the fund will have an unchanged investment policy, management fee and risk level.

For those with savings in Japan Fund, the merger does not change the value of the fund units, but there are certain other differences:

      Japanfond is an actively managed equity fund while your new fund is an close to index fund. The goal differs between the funds. 

      Management fees and other administrative or operating costs will decrease from 1,25 percent to 0,22 percent. Total fee will decrease from 1,3 percent till 0,26 percent. Transaction costs will decrease from 0,05 percent to 0,04 percent.

      The fund risk level will decrease from 5 to 4 on a seven-point scale.

What happens during the merger

If you do not switch or sell your units in Swedbank Robur Japanfond before 6:00 am on 14 April, your units in the fund will be transferred to Swedbank Robur Access Edge Japan. After that we close Japanfond and Access Edge Japan. On 20 April, when Swedbank Robur Access Edge Japan reopens for trading, you can buy or sell your fund units again.
